Online Map Education & Games
For those involved with classroom education, I recently came across a few online mapping / education websites that may be used as teaching tools.
National Geographic has a very extensive education website including lesson plans, maps & photos, professional development, current events, and their Map Machine application powered by ESRI. National Geographic's Xpeditions Atlas allows users to print detailed maps of any country or US State.
Growth of a Nation allows users to view a full history of the United States and has an interactive timeline of events.
Place the State is an interactive United States puzzle map that requires users to place a given state in it's proper location.
