UCF Public Administration Conference to Feature Session on Using GIS to Analyze Orlando Crime

The University of Central Florida's (UCF) 2nd Annual Public Administration Conference will be held at he school's Fairwinds Alumni Center on Friday, March 28th, 2008 from 8:30am - 3:30pm.

The main focus of the conference will be innovation of government, and will include the following four breakout sessions:

- Innovations in Public Safety Research & Practice

- Innovations in Governance and Leadership

- Innovations in Public Participation and Collaboration

- Innovations in Cross-Sectoral Partnerships


Per the conference website, the Innovations in Public Safety Research & Practice breakout session will include a "Spatial Analysis of Crimes in Orlando by Using GIS Technologies" presentation by Bahadir Sahin, a graduate research assistant for UCF’s Department of Public Administration.

The registration fee for the conference is $75 for the public and $40 for students.
