Geo-Visus Retained by Nassau County, FL to Implement an Enterprise-wide Tracking (AVL) Solution
Geo-Visus Inc., a GIS services firm that provide solutions in the areas of Web-GIS & GIS Management for the GIS Services, Local/Federal Government and Systems Integrator industries, has been retained by Nassau County, Florida to implement an Enterprise-wide Tracking (AVL) Solution.
The first phase of this implementation will be a Pilot Project. Geo-Visus will evaluate the current ESRI ArcGIS Server installation and configuration, install an evaluation copy of their ArcGIS Server-based tracking engine, TRACLite©™, and configure the selected AVL Units to work on the County Network. The project deliverable will be a Strategic Plan for Implementation and Deployment of an Enterprise-wide ArcGIS Server-based Tracking (AVL) Solution with a Beta Tracking Solution Demo Site. “The deployment of ArcGIS Server in local government is revolutionizing how data is collected, analyzed and distributed between departments and to the public. Nassau County has built a strong foundation in GIS. In order to leverage the investment the county has made in GIS, they must make effective use of the technology,” said Martin Copping, Geo-Visus VP of Operations.
