The University of West Florida (UWF) is offering a GIS Course August 18th - 19th, 2008

The University of West Florida Division of Continuing Education would like to remind you of our up coming Geographic Information Systems (GIS) course “Introduction to ArcSDE for SQL Server”.

The “Introduction to ArcSDE for SQL Server” will be offered on the UWF main campus in Pensacola, Florida starting August 18th, 2008 through August 19th, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost to attend this session is $499.

The UWF Continuing Education short courses are targeted at working professionals new to GIS or those wishing to explore the further potential for their GIS software. All courses use current Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) software and provide a certificate of completion. Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) may be earned for these courses.

The course will be taught by Mrs. Kristal Walsh, GISP. Mrs. Walsh earned her MS degree in Environmental Studies and has provided GIS support for the UWF Department of Environmental Studies and the Center for Environmental Diagnostics and Bioremediation since 2000. She is experienced in topographic data collection and mapping, raster analysis for environmental impact studies and the integration of spatial data with AutoCAD drawings. Most recently, she has developed a continuing education course for professionals that focuses on GPS data collection and mapping in a GIS.
