Accela Automation Continues to Lead Industry in Web-based
E-government Applications

Accela Automation’s robust inspection scheduling feature ensures accuracy in assigning internal inspection resources to specific job sites. Reviewing the inspector’s district, workload, calendar, and discipline (type of inspector), inspections are automatically assigned to an inspector by the system. Additionally, this feature allows citizens and contractors to schedule inspections online in real-time.

Agency staff can now provide cost estimates on development projects prior to generating a case, application, or permit. Based on type of construction, square footage, parking stalls, and other criteria, an estimated cost is automatically calculated by the system. This feature enhances customer service by providing citizens and contractors with increased plan flexibility before starting the official application process.

Accela GIS™: The 6.2 release supports greater flexibility for end-users by adding additional tools to the editing and redlining functions, providing automatic map service saving, enhanced print and save output functionality, and more. Learn more about Accela GIS.

With its software in place at more than 500 state and local government agencies across the U.S., in the last month Accela added the following jurisdictions to its Accela Automation client list: Brevard County, Florida; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Omaha, Nebraska.
