Harris Corporation Teams with BAE SYSTEMS and T-Kartor to Pursue Nordic Portion of Multi-National Geospatial Co-Production Program

Harris Corporation(NYSE:HRS), a world leader in geospatial information and database processing solutions, today announced that it has teamed exclusively with BAE SYSTEMS ADR of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, and T-Kartor Sweden AB, of Kristianstad, Sweden, to pursue the Nordic Initiative of the Multi-national Geospatial Co-Production Program (MGCP). Formed in 2003, the MGCP consists of 28 member nations working to bolster cooperative production and coordination of high-resolution digital vector data in high-interest regions where adequate data is not currently available. The Nordic Initiative represents the interests of Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland to produce more than 600 cells of geospatial data to MGCP specifications.
