Plotting Power Savings- GRU Uses Usage Map to Shed Light on Energy Conservation
By Nathan Crabbe

GRU officials say they're just starting on the long road toward significant increases in conservation. Part of those efforts is a color-coded map identifying what homes and neighborhoods use the most energy.

The University of Florida's Program for Resource Efficient Communities is helping the utility determine what factors high energy-use homes have in common. The results will be used to guide GRU's conservation programs, utility officials say.
