CommunityWalk - Lakeland, FL Crime Mash-Up
I recently came across a mash-up for crime events in Lakeland, FL. The mash-up was created by Chuck Welch of LakelandLocal.com and it incorporates weekly updates of crime data from the City of Lakeland's Police Department.
CommunityWalk, the application behind the creation of the mash-up is interesting as well. CommunityWalk is "a website that is dedicated to providing a powerful yet simple and easy to use interface for creating informational, interactive, and engaging maps." Jared Cosulich, an entrepreneur based in San Francisco, CA is the driving force and creator of CommunityWalk.
