Google's Space Race with Celestia

In a past post ("Celestia - Universe" March 30th, 2006), I mentioned that Celestia had already conquered the universe with regards to space mapping applications. Now it appears that Google has jumped into the space mapping game with the recent release of their Sky feature in Google Earth. The new feature allows users to: Zoom in to distant galaxies and nebulae, View constellations and the movements of the planets, Learn about the lifecycle of a star and different kinds of galaxies, and Create and share your own imagery / placemarks.

Only a matter of time (probably by tomorrow afternoon) before GE users create KML files of where scenes from their favorite sci-fi movies were theoretically filmed.
