"Where I've Been" Aqcuired by TripAdvisor
The recent acquistion of "Where I've Been" provides more evidence that social networking applications and mapping applications will continue to merge. "Where I've Been" is a mapping / Facebook Platform API created by Craig Ulliott.
TripAdvisor has reportedly paid $3 million for the application which at the time of sale was being used by over 2.3 million Facebook account holders. The "Where I've Been" map interface allows users to display a color-coded map of states and countries which they have visited, lived in, or possibly want to travel to.
