EarthData International Selected for Florida GIS Strategic Plan Development
In follow up to a August 29th, 2007 post, "RFP for Florida's GIS Strategic Plan Development - Closing Date Approaching", the Florida Division of Emergency Management has selected EarthData International to create a strategic plan for geospatial coordination within the State of Florida.
"The Florida Division of Emergency Management leads a consortium of interested parties successful in applying for and receiving a grant from the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) Cooperative Agreements Program of which $30,000 can be used for this contract. This strategic plan is a crucial step in defining the criteria, characteristics, and activities that will lead to coordination."
