Only Three Seats Left - Mobile GIS Course (Using ArcPad 7.0)
There are only three seats left for the Mobile GIS Using ArcPad 7.0 course offered by GEOWeb Consult Services.
The class is a 2-day in depth training course and will be held on September 27th & 28th, 2007 at FAU in Boca Raton, FL.
Mobile GIS is the expansion of geographic information system (GIS) from the office to the field. A mobile GIS enables field based personnel to capture, store, update, manipulate, analyze, and display geographic information.
ESRI ArcPad 7.0 is designed for field tasks that require easy to use geographic tools running on highly mobile computers, such as Pocket PCs, laptops, and tablet PCs. This in-depth 2-day course will explore the basics of the Mobile GIS and Global Positioning System (GPS) using ArcPad 7.0 and GPS Correct software. Students will receive practical theory and hands-on field experience using GPS, GIS and Mobile GIS hardware and software to accurately gather field data and integrate it with ArcGIS software.
