Inaugural Treasure Coast GIS Users Group Meeting Announced

The Treasure Coast GIS Users Group has announced the formation of a new GIS user group for the Treasure Coast region which consists of Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin Counties. Any individual or organization having an interest in the spatial sciences and GIS is invited to join the group, and attend their meetings.

The first meeting will be be held at 2pm on Thursday, January 31st, 2008 at the City of Vero Beach Council Chambers.

The initial agenda for this meeting will have FDOT District 4 discuss the purpose and intent of forming a Treasure Coast GIS Users Group; ESRI will present on the topic of integrating Model Builder with ArcServer; and the frequency and schedule of future Treasure Coast GIS User Group meetings will be discussed. Please come prepared to discuss, share, and interact with fellow GIS users from your community.

The Treasure Coast GIS Users Group is being created with sponsorship from FDOT District 4 to facilitate communication among the GIS users, to identify and share data resources, and promote cooperation in regional data development efforts on a regional scale. The plan is to evolve the function of the group based on user needs and objectives.
