The Northwest Florida Daily News is Instrumental in Creating California Crime Map
The Northwest Florida Daily News has been acknowledged as an instrumental factor in in creating a crime mash-up for Yuba City, CA. The crime map was published through a local Yuba City newspaper, the Appeal-Democrat.
Per a recent interview Yuba City police Chief Richard Doscher stated that, "We believe one of the critical tenets of law enforcement is the sharing of crime data with the pubic we serve. Such access not only allows the community to keep abreast of developing trends in order to take precautionary measures, it also provides the community with the ability to be an active part in helping keep our city safe by virtue of knowing what to look for and reporting activity that is suspicious."
Both the Northwest Florida Daily News and the Appeal-Democrat are owned by the same parent company, Freedom Communications.
