Fields Joins Clary & Associates as Survey Technician

Professional surveying and mapping firm Clary & Associates, Inc. has hired Derreck Fields as a survey technician.

Fields is a 2007 graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geomatics. He recently passed the Surveyor in Training (SIT) Exam, which is regulated by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation and administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). In earning his degree, he also attended courses at Tallahassee Community College and the Suwannee-Hamilton Area Vocational and Technical Adult Center.

Fields will report to Survey Operations Manager John Thomas, PSM.

“Derreck is a great fit for Clary & Associates,” said Greg Clary, founder and president of Clary & Associates. “His industry knowledge and technical skills are in line with our high quality work standards.” He obtained field experience during his college years – working as a surveyor in training, a draftsman, and as a rodman and instrumentman.

Fields has received the Walt Disney Dreamer and Doers Award. He currently attends the University of Florida’s Geomatics Advisory Board meetings in Gainesville as a representative for Clary & Associates.
