Using GIS to Capture Pleasant City's History
A recent article in the Palm Beach Post details how Joan Goldberg, a cultural affairs liaison, wants to use GIS mapping to capture the history and memory of Pleasant City.
The city is one of Palm Beach County's oldest black neighborhoods and Goldberg's goal is to "create a living history of the community" through a GIS application that will incorporate old photographs and city documents joined to an interactive map of the neighborhood.
