Broward County GIS Users Group Meeting - Today at 2:30pm
The Broward County GIS Users Group will be holding their monthly meeting this afternoon from 2:30pm - 4:30pm at the Broward County Emergency Operations Center (Third Floor Community Room) located at 201 NW 84th Avenue in Plantation, FL.
Mike Sweeney from ESRI will be the guest speaker on the topic of "Cartography in ArcGIS".
Per the meeting agenda:
"ESRI has been focused in greatly improving the cartographic capabilities of ArcGIS Desktop for a number of releases. In this presentation we will discuss labeling, symbology and cartographic output options which have been enhanced to significantly improve the cartographic output produced within ArcGIS Desktop. In addition, we will cover some essential ArcMap tools for working with Excel data to create maps, charts and reports."
"As an added bonus, there will be an overview of What’s New in ArcGIS 9.3 that will give a comprehensive overview of the new features that you will want to be on the lookout for. We will focus primarily on the numerous features in the core ArcGIS Desktop product, but we will make sure to cover significant features of the most popular extension products."
