Central Florida Geographic Information System Launches New Website & 2008 CFGIS Workshop Registration Now Open

The Central Florida Geographic Information System (CFGIS) has just launched a new website geared towards GIS users in the ten county region of Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Polk, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter and Volusia counties.

Key features of the new site include:

- Regional GIS Projects & Coordination Opportunities

- The Document Library

- The Links Library

CFGIS is a program of the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council and has been serving Central Florida since 2001.

Per their website, the mission of the CFGIS is "to provide a cooperative environment for GIS professionals and data users, promote communication and data sharing, regional data development, and provide spatial applications to programs throughout the Central Florida area."

In addition, please note that the 2008 CFGIS Workshop will be held on September 22nd-23rd, 2008 with Pre-Conference Training from September 19th-21st, 2008.

The event will be take place at the Hilton Altamonte Springs located at 350 Northlake Blvd. in Altamonte Springs, FL.
