Regional Municipality of York Selects GO! Sync Mobile GIS

TC Technology announces the Regional Municipality of York, located in Ontario, Canada chose GO! Sync Mapbook with the Redline and Inspection Extensions as its Mobile GIS standard. GO! Sync was selected because of its intuitive user interface, comprehensive viewing, sketching, and inspection capabilities, and seamless extension of geographic information system (GIS).

The Regional Municipality of York is a confederation of nine municipalities and provides services to over 850,000 residents, 25,000 businesses and 395, 000 employees. York Region has a two-tier government structure, with services provided by the Region and local area municipal governments. The Region provides services for its residents and businesses that include transportation services, transit, water, wastewater, emergency services, policing, human services and growth management.

The Water and Wastewater Branch at the Regional Municipality of York is deploying GO! Sync Mobile GIS to put maps complete with sketching and inspection tools into the hands of its field force where efficiency benefits are expected. Targeted improvements to field operations include routine maintenance, underground locating, and manhole, sewer, and CCTV sewer inspections.
