Mapping Out Pollution-Related Beach Closings and Advisories in Florida
The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) recently published the Beachgoers Water Quality Map, an informative map to reference prior to your next trip to the beach.
The data sets incorporated within the Google mashup are taken from the NRDC's "Testing the Waters 2008" survey and from individual reports to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
A beach water quality summary report specifically for Florida is available through Gannett News Service.
